Innovation & Impact

Science benefits greatly from a community that approaches problems in a variety of creative ways. A diverse community is better able to generate new research methods, questions, and ideas, which can help shed new light on scientific problems.

Better Work Environment

Research indicates that fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture reduces the risk of discrimination and sexual harassment. While these issues permeate various fields, the power dynamics in a scientific career can exacerbate the problem.
